Yakuza is on par with other tittles from time period as far as visuals. The encounters are far too frequent, and the enemies are not varied enough to keep it exciting through the campaign. The combat is good but, this game suffers from too much of a good thing. The one big draw-back of the Yakuza 4’s gameplay is that it gets repetitive. These points can be used to upgrade combat skills in multiple categories. Characters are awarded experience points for completing mission and defeating enemies. The brawler-style combat is engaging, and each player character brings his own style and move to the forefront during the games melee brawls. The game has a refined version of the combat system from the prevision titles. The story is well crafted, and the combat is well designed. The story’s twists and turns will shock players and leave them desperate to unravel the games mystery. The story is gut-wrenching, heart-felt and full of mystery. The game takes a unique approach to storytelling using each of the stories 4 characters to present the narrative from different points of view. The events that followed are the clue that ties the games four characters together.
